Vanessa Sheppard, partner at Duffee + Eitzen, graduated Cum Laude from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law in 2010. She also received her undergraduate degree in Political Science from Southern Methodist University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Sheppard received the Dorothy Amann Leadership Award, was a Dean’s Scholarship Recipient a
nd was named to the National Dean’s List.
With a practical understanding of a wide range of issues and disputes related to family law, Sheppard uses experience, resolve, and sound judgement to craft effective solutions for clients. She is experienced in all aspects of family law, including divorce, child custody, paternity, modification of custody and visitation, post-divorce enforcement issues, annulments, common law marriages, and pre-and post-nuptial agreements. Sheppard believes one of the most important aspects of her practice is seeing the “big picture” and knowing that each and every case is unique.
Her fluency in Spanish allows her to communicate effectively and express rights and options to those with a limited understanding of English.
Sheppard is a member of the State Bar of Texas, State Bar of Texas Family Law Section, Dallas Bar Association, Dallas Bar Association Family Law Section, and College of the State Bar.
